Ingredients

1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed

1/4 cup soy sauce (preferably low sodium)

1/4 cup fresh orange juice

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (slurry)

2 tablespoons green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Olive oil, for cooking

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon:

    - Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized pieces, approximately 1-inch cubes, and set aside.

      Make the Marinade:

        - In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, orange juice, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar until well combined.

          Marinate the Salmon:

            - Place the salmon bites in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon and gently toss to coat. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator, up to 2 hours for more flavor.

              Cook the Salmon:

                - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, remove the salmon from the marinade, shaking off excess marinade, and add to the pan. Cook the salmon bites for about 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.

                  Prepare the Glaze:

                    - In the same skillet, pour the remaining marinade. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and let it reduce for about 2-3 minutes. Add the cornstarch slurry and stir well, allowing it to thicken and become syrupy, about 1-2 more minutes.

                      Glaze the Salmon:

                        - Return the cooked salmon bites to the pan, ensuring they are thoroughly coated with the glaze. Cook together for an additional minute to warm through.

                          Serve:

                            - Remove from heat and transfer the glazed salmon bites to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped green onions and a sprinkling of sesame seeds. Serve warm as an appetizer or over a bed of jasmine rice.
