1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened

1 cup (200g) brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

2 1/2 cups (312g) all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup (180g) chocolate chips

10 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

      Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.

        Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

          Mix Dry with Wet: Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.

            Fold in Chocolate and Oreos: Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped Oreo cookies until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

              Scoop the Dough: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop heaping amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart to allow for spreading.

                Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft. They will continue to firm up as they cool.

                  Cool Down: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
