Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (or 2 tablespoons dried parsley)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)

Cooking spray (or olive oil for greasing)

Marinara sauce (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) to preheat for about 5 minutes while you prepare the meatballs.

Mix the ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, minced garlic, egg, oregano, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

Form the meatballs: Using your hands (wet them slightly to prevent sticking), scoop about 1.5 tablespoons of the mixture and roll into a ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture, placing the meatballs on a plate. You should have about 20 meatballs.

Prepare the air fryer basket: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush it with a thin layer of olive oil to prevent sticking.

Cook the meatballs: Arrange the meatballs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd them. You may need to do this in batches. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until the meatballs are golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Serve: Once done, carefully remove the meatballs from the air fryer. Serve them with warmed marinara sauce for dipping or spoon over pasta for a complete meal. Garnish with additional parsley or Parmesan cheese if desired.
