1 bunch of fresh asparagus (about 1 pound)

2 tablespoons olive oil

½ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt & pepper to taste

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Zest of 1 lemon

Juice of ½ lemon

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup.

    Prepare the Asparagus: Rinse the asparagus under cold water. Snap off the woody ends by holding each spear and bending it until it naturally breaks.

      Season the Asparagus: In a large bowl, toss the prepared asparagus with olive oil, garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
