1 lb breakfast sausage, crumbled (mild or spicy, based on preference)

1 large onion, diced

2 cups frozen hashbrowns (shredded or cubed)

1 cup cream cheese, softened

8 large eggs

1 cup milk

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a cheese blend)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh chives or parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter to prevent sticking.

    Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the crumbled breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Add the diced onion and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

      Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk until smooth and creamy.

        Whisk the Eggs: In another large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well blended. Stir in the cooked sausage and onion mixture, followed by the cream cheese mixture, ensuring everything is evenly combined.
