Ingredients

6 large croissants, torn into bite-sized pieces

8 large eggs

1 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced ham (or cooked sausage)

1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh chives, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Prepare the Croissants: In a large mixing bowl, add the torn croissant pieces.

Whisk the Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and heavy cream until well combined. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Combine Ingredients: Pour the egg mixture over the croissant pieces and gently mix until well coated.

Add Fillings: Fold in the diced ham, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped spinach into the croissant and egg mixture.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Spread the mixture evenly into the greased baking dish, ensuring the croissant pieces are mostly submerged in the egg mixture.

Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the casserole is puffed and golden brown on top.

Let Cool: Once baked, let the casserole cool for about 5 minutes. This will help it set slightly for easier slicing.

Serve: Garnish with fresh chives if desired, slice, and serve warm. Enjoy your delicious savory breakfast!
