500g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

3 tablespoons honey

3 tablespoons Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

200g jasmine rice

400ml chicken broth (or water)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine honey, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken pieces and coat well. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to an hour if you have time.

    Cook the Rice: Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice and chicken broth (or water). Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender. Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for another 5 minutes.

      Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken to the skillet, reserving the marinade. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it’s fully cooked and golden brown.

        Add the Sauce: Pour the reserved marinade over the cooked chicken in the skillet. Allow it to simmer for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens slightly and glazes the chicken.
