Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a medium bowl, combine the chicken breasts and BBQ sauce. Ensure that each piece is well-coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for more flavor).

Prepare the Broccoli: If using fresh broccoli, wash and cut it into florets. If using frozen, simply measure out 2 cups and set aside.

Sauté Broccoli: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Introduce the broccoli florets to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic. Cook for 4-5 minutes until tender but still crisp, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove broccoli from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Chicken: In the same skillet, place the marinated chicken breasts and sprinkle with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes on one side until browned. Flip the chicken and pour any remaining BBQ sauce over the top. Cover the skillet and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Plate Your Dish: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve the chicken alongside the sautéed broccoli. Drizzle some additional BBQ sauce over the chicken and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Enjoy! Dive into your simple yet flavorful weeknight dinner that's sure to keep everyone satisfied!
