Ingredients

2 racks of baby back ribs (about 4 pounds total)

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1 cup honey

1/2 cup soy sauce (low sodium)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Fresh chopped green onions (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Ribs: Start by removing the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.

Season the Ribs: In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this spice mix evenly over both racks of ribs.

Mix the Sauce: In another bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes until well combined.

Add Ingredients to Slow Cooker: Place the seasoned ribs in the slow cooker, standing them on their edges if needed. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the ribs, making sure they are well-coated.

Cook the Ribs: Cover the slow cooker and set it to low heat. Cook for 6 to 8 hours, or until the ribs are tender and the meat is falling off the bone.

Finishing Touch: Once cooked, carefully remove the ribs from the slow cooker and place them on a baking sheet. Preheat your oven broiler.

Broil for Crispiness: Brush a little more honey garlic sauce from the slow cooker over the ribs and place them under the broiler for 5-7 minutes or until they caramelize slightly and become sticky.

Serve: Remove from the oven, let rest for a minute, then slice between the bones. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
