Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup Panko breadcrumbs

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for heat preference)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)

1 ripe avocado, sliced

1 cup red cabbage, shredded

1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

8 small corn tortillas

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce

1 tablespoon sriracha (more for extra heat)

1 teaspoon lime juice

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a bowl, soak the shrimp in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes to tenderize and flavor.

Prepare the Bang Bang Sauce: In a small mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lime juice. Mix well and adjust the spice according to your preference. Set aside.

Set Up Breading Station: In three separate bowls, place flour seasoned with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper; the second bowl will hold the buttermilk; the third bowl will have Panko breadcrumbs.

Bread the Shrimp: Dip each shrimp first into the seasoned flour, then into the buttermilk, and finally coat with Panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to ensure a good coating.

Fry the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add breaded shrimp in batches (don't overcrowd) and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Warm the Tortillas: While the shrimp are frying, heat the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds per side, or until warm and pliable.

Assemble the Tacos: On each tortilla, place a few pieces of the crispy shrimp, top with sliced avocado, shredded red cabbage, cilantro, and a drizzle of Bang Bang sauce.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve the tacos immediately with lime wedges on the side for an extra zing!
