Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon lime juice

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

8 small corn tortillas

1 cup shredded cabbage (red or green)

1 ripe avocado, sliced

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Lime wedges for serving

Optional: spicy crema (mix sour cream, lime juice, and hot sauce)

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a bowl, combine the shrimp with Cajun seasoning, olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat the shrimp evenly and let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Cook the Shrimp: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook them.

Prepare Tacos: While the shrimp is cooking, warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side, or until they're pliable.

Assemble Tacos: On each tortilla, place a generous amount of shredded cabbage, followed by a few shrimp, slices of avocado, and diced tomatoes. Sprinkle chopped cilantro on top for added freshness.

Finish and Serve: Drizzle with spicy crema if desired, and serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side for extra zest.
