Ingredients

2 pounds chicken wings

1 teaspoon baking powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

½ cup honey

2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste; use your favorite)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prep the Wings: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss the wings with baking powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. Baking powder will help to create a crispy skin.

Bake the Wings: Place the wings in a single layer on a wire rack set over a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.

Make the Spicy Honey Butter Sauce: While the wings are baking, prepare the sauce. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the honey, hot sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), and apple cider vinegar. Stir well until combined and heated through. Remove from heat and set aside.

Coat the Wings: Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and place them in a large bowl. Pour the spicy honey butter sauce over the wings, tossing well to ensure they are evenly coated.

Serve: Transfer the wings to a serving platter and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch or blue cheese dressing, and enjoy your perfect game day snack!
