Spicy Shrimp Tacos with Mango Slaw

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)

1 lime, juiced

Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Mango Slaw

1 cup green cabbage, shredded

1 cup red cabbage, shredded

1 ripe mango, peeled and diced

1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

1 jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped (optional for extra heat)

2 tablespoons lime juice

1 tablespoon honey

Salt, to taste

For Assembly

8 small corn or flour tortillas

Lime wedges, for serving

Marinate the Shrimp

    In a bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat the shrimp evenly. Let marinate for 15-20 minutes.

      Prepare the Mango Slaw

        In a large mixing bowl, combine the green cabbage, red cabbage, diced mango, cilantro, and jalapeño (if using). In a separate small bowl, whisk together the lime juice, honey, and salt. Pour the dressing over the slaw and toss to combine. Let the slaw sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

          Cook the Shrimp

            Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat.

              Warm the Tortillas

                In a separate dry skillet, warm the tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until they become pliable. Alternatively, you can microwave them wrapped in a damp cloth for about 20-30 seconds.

                  Assemble the Tacos

                    On each tortilla, place a generous portion of spicy shrimp followed by a scoop of mango slaw. Garnish with extra cilantro if desired.
