Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

6 strips of thick-cut bacon, chopped

1/2 cup pure maple syrup

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cook the Bacon: In a medium skillet over medium heat, add the chopped bacon. Cook until the bacon is crispy (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and drain on a paper towel to absorb excess grease.

Prepare the Maple Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Assemble the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon some of the maple glaze over each fillet, ensuring to coat evenly. You can reserve some glaze for serving later.

Add Bacon Crust: Sprinkle the crispy bacon bits generously on top of the salmon, pressing them gently to adhere.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and has reached an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Finish with Glaze: For extra flavor, broil the salmon on high for 1-2 minutes at the end of the baking time until the bacon is caramelized and crispy. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning.

Serve: Drizzle with the reserved maple glaze and garnish with fresh parsley or chives if desired. Enjoy your Sticky Maple Bacon Crusted Salmon with your choice of sides!
