Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup cooked white rice

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 cup sour cream

1 cup taco sauce

4 large flour tortillas

1 cup lettuce, shredded

1 medium tomato, diced

Additional taco sauce, for drizzling

Instructions

Prepare the beef filling: In a large skillet, over medium heat, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes or until softened. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add seasoning: Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the cooked beef and mix well. Stir in about ½ cup of water. Simmer for 5 minutes until well combined and thickened. Remove from heat.

Assemble the burrito: Lay a flour tortilla flat. Spoon about ¼ of the seasoned beef mixture in the center, followed by ¼ cup of cooked rice, a sprinkle of cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, a dollop of sour cream, some taco sauce, and a handful of shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes.

Wrap the burrito: Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll it up from the bottom to the top, ensuring the filling is secure inside the tortilla. Repeat for the remaining tortillas.

Grill for extra flavor (optional): Preheat a panini press or a skillet over medium heat. Lightly toast each burrito for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and the cheese starts to melt.

Serve: Slice the burritos in half, drizzle with additional taco sauce, and serve warm with guacamole or extra sour cream on the side.
