Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup onion, finely chopped

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Meatball Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped onion, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined; avoid overmixing to keep meatballs tender.

Shape the Meatballs: Using your hands, form the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs and place them on a lined tray or plate.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Air Fry the Meatballs: Once preheated, arrange the meatballs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between each meatball. You may need to work in batches. Spray or lightly brush the meatballs with olive oil for a crispy exterior.

Cook: Air fry the meatballs at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and are golden brown. Shake the basket halfway through cooking for even browning.

Heat the Marinara Sauce: While the meatballs are cooking, heat the marinara sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat until warmed through.

Serve: Once the meatballs are done, transfer them to a serving platter and drizzle with the heated marinara sauce. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley for added flavor and presentation.

Enjoy: Serve with your choice of pasta, on a sub roll, or as an appetizer with toothpicks. Enjoy your delicious, healthy meal!
