Ingredients

2 large sweet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon sea salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat oven: Start by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature will help to achieve the perfect crispiness.

Prepare the sweet potatoes: Wash and peel the sweet potatoes. Cut them into evenly sized strips, about 1/4 inch thick, to ensure they cook evenly.

Season the fries: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweet potato strips with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, sea salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using. Toss everything together until the fries are well coated in the oil and seasonings.

Arrange on baking sheet: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Spread the seasoned sweet potato fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are not overcrowded.

Bake the fries: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Halfway through the baking time, flip the fries using a spatula to ensure they cook evenly on both sides.

Check for crispiness: The fries should be golden brown and crispy when done. If you like them extra crispy, you can turn on the broiler for the last 1-2 minutes, but watch closely to avoid burning.

Garnish and serve: Once cooked, remove the fries from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Transfer them to a serving platter, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and enjoy immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
