Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

1 cup chocolate ice cream (for topping)

Whipped cream (for garnish)

Chocolate syrup (for drizzling)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Fold in the dark and milk chocolate chips, and pecans if using.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Once baked, allow the chocolate treat to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve generous squares topped with a scoop of chocolate ice cream, a dollop of whipped cream, and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
