Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup whole milk

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for coating)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a mini muffin tin or donut hole pan.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, cardamom, and black pepper until well combined.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, combine the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Whisk until smooth and well blended.

Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; it's okay if there are a few lumps.

Fill the Pan: Spoon the batter into the prepared mini muffin tin or donut hole pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.

Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the tops are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool & Coat: Allow the donut holes to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Prepare the Coating: In a small bowl, combine the powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. If desired, add a little milk to create a thicker coating or keep it a dry mix for rolling.

Roll or Coat: Once the donut holes are fully cooled, you can either roll them in the powdered sugar or use a pastry brush to coat them with the vanilla mixture for a sticky glaze.

Serve & Enjoy: Serve the Vanilla Chai Donut Holes warm or at room temperature, and enjoy with your favorite chai tea for a delightful experience!
